CEO’s Welcome Message

I am delighted to welcome you to RHA Academy, a private institution, dedicated to the upskilling of healthcare professionals and the training of individuals wishing to enter the Healthcare industry. 

As most of us are aware, the older population continues to grow at an unprecedented rate. Virtually every country in the world will experience a substantial increase in the size of the population aged 60 years or over. Singapore is no exception. With the changes in Singapore’s demographic composition, there is necessity for educational opportunities which train individuals to meet the demands of an elderly population. 

In turn the ageing population leads to a greater demand for social and healthcare services to support the elderly.  In fact, the Ministry of Health have estimated 30,000 more healthcare workers will be needed by 2020 to meet the demands of an ageing population in Singapore. All Singaporeans are deserving access to high quality and affordable elderly care services, which support our physical and mental health. The Singapore government is leading the way, with plans already underway to increase the number of healthcare facilities across the island. Initiatives are also in place to encourage Singaporeans to be employed in the healthcare sector, including funding opportunities for elderly care training. 

To equip the workforce with the skills and competencies to work in the aged care sector, RHA academy will offer short training programmes, with our key focus being in the field of elderly care. We aim to add value to our educational opportunities, by working closely with community care partners, to broaden the horizons of our students.
